The Nabat sweet merchant | October 17, 2007

The Nabat sweet merchant

As a traditional Turkmen family we consume quite a lot of “Nabat” – a kind of a sweet made mostly in Iran & Central Asia. And I buy it only from one seller – well of course there’s a story behind…

There are only two sellers in my market. Once I approached another merchant. The sign clearly stated cost of 1 kilogram of Nabat – 30 000 manats. I paid for cookies and Nabat together, and then she made a huge mistake… She charged 35 000 for Nabat. I asked if she was sure about the price – she confirmed.

A real man doesn’t argue with stupid women for 5 000 manats on the market. A real man regularly buys Nabat from stupid merchant’s neighbour, and regularly brings profits to another merchant! My business revenge is both sweet and huge, I enjoy it!

P.S. I also enjoy punishing European manufacturers for certain cartoons. Respect your customers!

  2. Doctors also give bitter medicine to patients. Economic boycotte is a painless way to express my disappointment. I guess this “revenge” is not so bad 😀 Well, maybe I’m wrong.
